Backup QuickBook Database using Backup Exec 12.5

hello0001

I am trying to backup a QuickBook Database using Backup Exec 12.5. However, it always fails me when QuickBook database is accessed by someone or currently opened. IE, all files start with extension .QBW will be ignored by Backup Exec 12.5

My turn-around way is to created a shadow copy of my QuickBook root folder under the Windows Server 2008 and manualy backup the contains through that shadow folder.

My Question is How do I configure Backup Exec 12.5 to see that shadow folder and backup those file for me daily. I would really appreciate all your kind help.

I'm not too sure if BE can backup QuickBook (or its databses)

If i have to think of them (.QWB) as open files, than you can enable Advanced Open File Option from Job properties and attempt to back them up (if you havn't already tried that).

If you have enabled shadow copies, just back up the shadow copy component.  This will backup the shadows copy.  When you need the shadow copy back, just restore the shadow copy component.
