Hi

I just finish installed backup exec 9.1 running on windows 2003 server on IBM tape libraries 120/240GB ..I facing a problem when i try to run backup.. System event show 2 error. Event ID 11 and 15

ID 11 Seaddsmc and ID 15 ADPU320 all this is related to SCSi driver..

I did update my SCSi driver for veritas to the hardware provider but i still encounter the same problem..

I configure back the driver from veritas. my backup working fine but the output rate very slow 3mb per minute..

Driver that is facing problem is Centence.llc version 1.11.00 date 27/8/2004 which i download from IBM website.

Following Microsoft Knowledge base article help you resolving Event ID 11

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;154690

The Event ID 15 indicates that the device is not ready. This can be the result of SCSI host adapter configuration issues or other problems. Perform the following steps to resolve the issue:

1.) Reduce the total number of devices on the controller.
2.) Update the SCSI Controller Driver and firmware
3.) Update the Tape Drive firmware
4.) Separate the tape device from a controller which also has hard drives connected to it.
5.) If possible, connect the library to another SCSI controller

Once above mentioned errors are resolved, run the same backup job again and verify the throughput.
