Append jobs work fine. Media overwrite protection is off.
I did a long erase on a tape. Didn't help.
BE 10d.
Using latest veritas drivers and latest BE 10d build.
HP Ultrium 2 drive, updated firmware. HP tape tools say the drive is fine.
Failure only happens on an overwrite job.
