I have a backup that was supposed to run last night at 8PM, well the job is still sitting at 12 hours elasped time. The status of this job shows "Queued"... Why?

Check the alerts tab for any active alerts. If there is green question mark next to
the queued status, right click on it and then select "respond to alert"

Can you provide some more details?
Backup type B2D or B2T?
If B2T any drives are available to perform backup or not?
Also any alerts waiting for response?

Check that your backup device is online and is not paused.
Try pausing and unpausing your backup device.

Hi ,
Please verify if if the job is waitig for the overitable media or if the tape is ejected then it will go in queued state
Also once you find the cause like if it was waiting for overwrtiable media or tape you can cofigure respond to alert for your job by going to alert tab
