This is the exact prolem I am having while trying to install a remote agent on a Windows XP machine. However, even after adding the assembly to the cache, as described in the Microsoft article above, I still cannot get the remote agent to install.
Here is the log file that is generated:

I have tried installing this from a copy of the DVD as suggested by the error, but that doesn't work either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Having trouble trying to install remote agent on one of our servers. It will stay installed for about 2 weeks then a back up will fail with a message of not remote agent installed on that server. Which if funny because it is installed. Any ideas. Gratzi.

I have been trying to install an agent on a server which used to be a Backup Exec server. The Backup Exec (11D) has been removed and now I am trying to backup files from this server but when I try to install an agent on it, it fails with the message: "This disc has insufficient space for the Remote Agent for Windows Systems installation." I have tried both drives on this server and both have plenty of space on them (C: 4.51 GB, D: 204 GB) and I get this message regardless of which drive I try to install on.
Any suggestions?
