Backupexec services terminate unexpectedly, jobs failing

Backupexec services are terminating. When I start the services, they start but after a few hours, the services stop.

I use Backupexec 12.

Urgent help needed please.

You got to look at your Windows Event log and see what causes the services to stop.  If necessary, analyse the minidumps that are produced when the services crash.

Yes, you have check what is the cause of service failure. whenever service are shutdown because any reason is logged in windows eventvwr. you can post it here so we can have a look at that.

1. From the event logs can you tell which service fails first?

2. Does the service crash even though there is no backup running in backup exec? or is it the other way round?

3. what is the OS version on which BE is installed?

4. Are you using a tape library?

5.  can you post the BE diagnostics report which is available in Tools -- Support tools in BE console Menu?
