we have a dual cluster SAN environment, which unfortunately has a mixed backup approach.
One cluster has 11d via VCB and the other has 12.5 via VCB.
We are looking to upgrade both to 2010 with VMWare Agents, but i would like to know if i can upgrade the 11d to 12.5 using the 2010 license in the interim as we are experiencing various issues with the 11d pre/post command backups.
Once we have both up to 12.5 and have good backups of both sides, then we will look to upgrade to 2010.
What i don't want to do is pay for 12.5 licenses only to pay again for 2010, basically because our customers wont agree to that.
Thoughts?
