Can't Access Logon Account Management

Ed_Correia
Not applicable
We've made several changes to the administrator account over the last few weeks as we prep a new server, but forgot to tell BUE v10. Now we can't get into the Logon Account Management ap to make corrections. Upon launching Network -> Logon Accounts, BUE just crashes.

We've tried going back to earlier admin account settings but nothing sees to work.

Please help.

you can try to correct the logon accounts through the command line (bemcmd.exe)

see the following TID on how to use it:

http://ftp.support.veritas.com/pub/support/products/Backup_Exec_for_WindowsNT/275538.pdf

and speciffic to logon accounts:

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/268559.htm

If that does not help, change the BE services manually to start with a predefined admin account and correct the permissions of this account within the local security policy of the BE mediaserver. (logon as service, create token object, act as part of the OS)

Still no success ? - check (using beutility.exe) that the BE account still has access to the BE SQL database.

Hope this helps
