Can't restore data from LTO2 Tapes on BE 12.5 LTO4 drives

Hello,
   We encounter a problem with restoring data from LTO-2 tapes. Inventory and catalog job done with success but  we can't see any folders and files.

If you have any suggestions please share with us.

Make sure you have unchecked the date range in the restore window.

You got to expand the date range in the restore selection list.  Make sure that the start date is earlier than the date of the backup that you want to use.

If they above didn't helped out, have you tried to copy the lto2-tape to a lto4-tape? Should not be necessary, but would show up, if the tape is correctly recognized from the lto4-drive. Just changed to an lto5-drive and duplicated the monthly tapes and the year-tapes to lto5-tapes and tested restore from both after that.

Hello,

     Thank you for your respond. I expend the date like you suggested but still the folders tree have not appeared. We are not able to recover data from all of our LTO-2 tapes. As I mentioned the inventory and catalog process performed without problems. We tried to recover data both from recovery wizard and directly from the tape but still no success :(.

Having you tried clicking on the View by Media tab and then clicking on the tape?  You would then be able to see the contents of the tape.
