Canceled by service shutdown

Hi

I get the following message seconds before the backup job is finished:

Job completion status: Canceled by service shutdown
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe0008821 - Job was recovered as a result of Backup Exec RPC service starting. No user action is required.
Final error category: Job Errors

I have checked the services and the event log, nothing that would indicate any problems during my backup. Doesnt make any sense that job completion status says "canceled" while the jobs error staus is "job was recovered..."

Obviously need help to understand this.

Hi Stian,

Stop and disable the Removable storage service. Restart all the backup exec services once thats done and then try performing a backup.
