Continuous Protection Server, Snapshot Retention Policy

CPS is not following the Retention Policy I have defined. I have:
Keep each snapshot for: 24 hours
and one daily for: 7 days
and one weekly for: 4 weeks
and one monthly for: 12 months

But all its retaining is the last 6 snapshots. If this is a space limitation issue I cant see the problem, there is over 60% free on every volume of every server involved in the CPS job.

This problem is not as consistent as I previously thought. It was up to 25 snapshots saved at one point this weekend, then at 6 this morning it decided to delete every snapshot except the current one. In the logs all I see is "Snapshot deleted successfully by an external source". This is very frustrating, I'm so glad we spent money on this software.

Hello,
The snapshots are takes using Microsoft's VSS technology which ahs a limitation of keeping upto 15 snapshots in memory at a time. The first one in is deleted first.
