Desktop and Laptop Option 2010 move to R2 - agent upgrade needed?

We recently moved over 200+ users from a DLO 12 server to a newly configured DLO 2010 server. With Backup Exec 2010 R2 being released we're trying to keep our environment as up-to-date as possible and feel upgrading our new server to R2 would be best. Are we wrong in thinking this? And, more importantly, would this require that we configure the DLOCommandu.exe utility to automatically update user's agents? Is R2 considered a new version where this would be necessary? When upgrading other 2010 media servers to R2 it requires that we push out new agents to the servers being backed up so we assume this would also be the case for DLO.
Thanks

If you will be installing BUE 2010R2 and you already have the BUE 2010 license keys, it will be carried over to R2. Its not a new version of BUE, its a patch for BUE 2010.

The license keys are fine for our R2 upgrades. My question is about the actual agents on user's laptops and desktops. When they were first configured for this server they had the DLO 2010 Agent installed. If we upgrade the DLO server to 2010R2 will the user's laptops and desktops need to have a new agent installed on them to be able to connect to their backed up data?

If you will upgrade to 2010 R2, you will not need new agent license to be installed for DLO 2010. The existing license will be carried over.

Typically, a BackupExec media server will work with agents one level back

However, you should update the agents to the new version as quickly as possible

My question is not regarding licenses. Our licenses are fine and it is understood that R2 does not change any of the license requirements.
Regarding the media server working with agents one level back; it has been our experience with moving from BE 12.5 to 2010 that agents need to be upgraded on servers that were being backed up sometimes requiring a reboot and sometimes not. We were trying to prepare for the upgrade of the DLO server to R2 before performing the upgrade and then finding out that we need to scramble and push out an agent upgrade for 200+ users before they can access their backed up data.
