Disaster Recovery Option for Non-domain Servers

We have a W2K server which is not in the domain (for security purposes). I can map drives from our Backup Server to the non-domain server drives using it's IP address. Would I be able to use the Disaster Recovery Option on the non-domain server, or does it only work on servers within the domain?

As long as you are backing up the admin shares (C$ D$ etc) and as long as you connect as an Admin user on the non-domain box for the restore, the DR restore should be no problem.

Hello,

Yes. You can use the Disaster Recovery Option on Non Domain Controllers as well.

Refer the following Technote for Intelligent Disaster Recovery.

Hope this helps.
