Hi Guys, am trying to duplicate a tape for off site storage. Problem is my backup sets span across 2 tapes as per image below.
Am I better to use other duplication software?
Thanks, Adam.

Unless you have 2 tape drives, you would have to duplicate the backup set to disk and then duplicate it to tape again. When you duplicate to disk, the backup set on the 2 tapes would be joined together. If you have 2 tape drives, then BE will take care of the 2 parts of the backup set for you when you duplicate from one tape drive to another.
You should ALWAYS use BE to duplicate your backup sets, not another software.

Hi there, when selecting the backups sets do I select both the one media and the other that spans across two tapes? ie;
LTO5 &
LTO5, LTO6
or just the one media and Backup Exec will know.
Thanks, Adam.
