Exchange 5.5 Support in BE 12.5

I am trying to use BE 12.5 for Windows Servers restore Exchange 5.5 data from some old tapes, and I'm having problems.  In doing some research, I've found that the Software Compatibility List for BE 12.5 states
"The following options can no longer be restored using Backup Exec 12.5
Microsoft Exchange 5.0
Microsoft Exchange 5.5
Microsoft SQL 6.5"

Well, that would seem to explain why I'm having problems.  However, when I create the restore job, the Restore Job Properties screen has settings specifically for Exchange 5.5 under the Settings|Microsoft Exchange section.  If Exchange 5.5 restores cannot be performed, why are there settings for Exchange 5.5 in the properties for the restore job?

Hi

These settings have remained there, just from older versions, would be taken care of in future release. But, please rest assured that support for Exchange 5.5 has been dropped since Backup Exec 12.0. So, if you would like to get these restores done, you may want to use Backup Exec 11d or 10d.

Gee, that makes perfect sense.  I wish more software developers would put/leave options in their user interfaces for products they don't support.
