Failed to load the configuration xml file. %ProgramFiles%\Symantec\Backup Exec\Catalogs\MACBACKUP\CatalogProcessTemporaryFolder\{GUID}\p2v.xml
And according to http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH184002
"At least one locally attached disk drive, SCSI, SATA, IDE, etc., is required to prevent this alert from being displayed."
This should really be fixed. You shouldn't receive an alert when the behavior is expected and normal. You also shouldn't receive it if the convert to virtual option isn't even checked. Honestly why should I care if it can't find the configuration file?

As per the Technote (TECH184002) and its Etrack (2722406) details, this issue is supposed to be fixed in the upcoming release Backup Exec 2012 R2.

You can sign-up for the Backup Exec 2012 R3 Beta Program if you like.

Ah ok. I see the Etrack info at the bottom, but nothing that says what you're saying. Is there a way I can lookup that Etrack? Seems like there should be a link to it on that page. Also, did you mean to say sign-up for R3? The link is for R2. Thanks.

Sorry I meant Sign-up for 2012 R2 (R3 was a typo)
No, etrack info can only be access internally by Symantec employees. But you can subscribe to that article, you will up informed via email when that article gets updated.
There's a "Subscribe via Email" link on that article which you can use.
