I have installed Backup Exec 2012 VRay and I am currently testing backup and restore strategies.
I completed a differentail backup of a virtual machine with grt enabled through the vCenter server to tape. When I try to restore a file from this differential backup I get this error - "0xe00095b3 - Unable to create the virtual disk."
I also tried differentail backup of a virtual machine with grt enabled through the vCenter server to disk and duplicate to tape. When I try to restore a file from the backup set on tape I get this error - "Incremental\Differentail backup methods are not supported for this VM. The backup job failed, since the option 'to fall back to a full backup' was not selected."
So my question is should I be able to perform a granular restore from a differentail VM with grt enabled backup to tape?
