Glocal Selection List and (Backup Exec) Wildcard Handling

I just learned, that there is really something like an build in global selection list:

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/de/forums/exclude-mp3-files (and http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/264628.htm ofc)

Amazing .. even after Years of using BE you still learn something new.
I always used a separate List for that, which I included when creating a new selection-list.

As I always called my list "Exclusion List" I also did not get a Naming conflict an as is is now shown in the listing of selections in the main gui (which makes no sense imho), I never came across it. Another weird thing is, that no other List can be imported, so I had to reenter everything from my one Exclusion List.

What wonders me, is that Exclusions defined in that global list seem not to be shown as exluded in normal selections. So the Question is, wheater this List still works or is just a left over from earlier BE-Verions ? (I'm administrating mostly 2010-Installations, some installations with 12.5 and a couple with 11d .. and try that out with 2010 atm).

And about the Wildcard Handling:
I was searching for a possibility to explude the Recycle-Bins of both pre 2008 and post 2008 based Windows-OS in one Setting but that seems not to be possible:

\\*\*\*RECYCLE*\ should match both X:\RECYCLER\ and X:\$RECYCLE.BIN\ .. but it does not, as the Asterisk seems only to match for "at least one" while normally it does match to "zero or more". Is there another wildcard for that puropose ? I also tried out "?" but this also matches of exact one (which is standard imho).

Probably as a result "\\*\*\**\TEMP\" matches only for Subfolders named Temp, while "\\*\*\TEMP\" matches for Folders in Root named Temp. I my opinion the first should match both, as this works for files correctly.
