Hello everybody

Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise
Backup Exec 2010 with all patches hot fixes

I upgraded from Backup Exec 12 to 2010 a month ago.
Till now, i had no problems or something else. everything working fine.

Now i had a problem, that a backup to disk job to another server in another location (VPN-Connected)
Today morning it works fine.
Now the job goes in queue and nothing goes on.

i restarted the services, but still the same problem
i halt de backup to disk folder an unhalt it, but still the same problem

have everybody some ideas for me?

Hi there,

Could be a combination. Check the following:

1. Available disk space on your B2D. If there isn't enough (or your B2D folder's reserved space where it halts backups) is too low, it will stop the job.
2. Check for any prompts when the job runs...confirm/cancel them if there are, and then do some troubleshooting from there.
3. Check to see your overwrite/append periods are correct.

3. yes in the folder are enough available backups, which ar marked overwritable

Hi everybody

After I done a inventary on the Backup to Diks folder, which takes 2 hours, the backup job runs without problems.
