I am running Backup Exec 8.6 on an NT4 sp6a server. Yes, I know it's old. The server is in a remote office. It is a domain controller on a mixed NT/2000 domain. I use remote access network tools to run BE on it. I have a user who would be a good candidate to restore files. I have made him a Backup Operator, but he still is not able to run BE. He gets a message saying: "You have insufficient rights to run Backup Exec. You must be either a backup operator or administrator to run Backup Exec." I have already searched your Kb & didn't find anything useful. Thank you.
