We are running Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 with Backupexec 10 rev 5520. We are trying to restore files from a web server - Going from another server to new hardware - we are using file redirection to try and get them to the new server.

I saw before on the forum that it this could be cause by a corrupt file that stops the remote service.

Help is needed here.

We are trying to restore an IIS 6 web site from an old machine to a new machine. How can you tell which files are corrupt that is causing the restore to fail?

Do you have multiple network cards attached to both of your servers?
- Try selecting "use any available network adapter" under Backup Job properties->Network & firewall

- Check if ping -a IP address works in both the directions?

- See if port 10,000 is open on both the servers

- Try running a backup/restore of a single file of/to the remote server

Regards,
Ashutosh
