Job engine stops by itself, backups to network drives hang

I have an intermittent problem where backup exec job engine stops, therefore I have to manually go in and make sure it is running every day. Also, backups to 2 separate remote machines hang for about 12 hours, then fail with 0:00 in the elapsed time column. When I attempt to go into the log, it says "the log file for this job may not be generated". I think these problems are related, as it appears that something is not running and therefore preventing the backup from running and creating a log. During these same times, tape backups work fine.

Hello,

Please divide the backup job to isolate the issue.

Also we would like to know the exact error message with which the job fails?

Also to isolate any errors related to the device run the job on Backup to disk folder and then verify the result.
