Job status failed with a000fe09 - The directory is invalid

The job fails on valid directories.

When attempting to view the job history I get the following error:
Load XML failed. Reason: A. Error on line 32, position 102 in "f".
The paths shown in the job log are corrupted with control characters, and are not what is shown in the selection list when viewing it in text mode.
I've updated MSXML, but that has not resolved the XML issue.

Regarding the job failing, I've:
Done a database repair
Updated MSDAC
Removed the offending paths from the backup selection list, but then other directories fail that worked previously.

A casual observation is that the number of failed directories is always six..

Here is the contents of the Job Log:

I would suggest you recreate the selection and run the job again.

BEWS 10.0 SP1 has released, Apply the SP1 and run the job again.

Since I have version 9.1, I downloaded the SP2 dated March 1, 2005. I'll do as you suggest and recreate the selection list (all 350 individual selections). The order I would expect to be proper would be to delete the selection list, do the SP2 update, then recreate the selection list.

Please advise if this is incorrect.

The latest service pack did indeed fix my problem.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that Veritas has the worst support system I've ever had the displeasure of working with in my 15 years in the IT industry.

I'll be avoiding Veritas in all forms in the future.
