Following guidelines will help in resolving the issue:
1. Stop Backup Exec Services
2. Open a Registry editor (Start > Run > Regedt32).
3. Navigate to
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Engine\NTFS.
4. Select Edit > Add Value.
Enter ForceBootDrive (this is case sensitive) as the value name. Select REG_SZ as the data type. Click OK.
When the string editor appears, enter the current boot drive. For example, enter C: (the letter C and a colon) if your system boots off the C drive. Do not use a value such as C (just the letter C)
5.Start the Backup Exec services .
