MS SQL & Backup Exec

Does Backup Exec 10 use MS SQL on a Windows 2003 server? I have a client who wants to install My SQL on the same server with MS SQL. The two will run on the same server, but the client wants to remove MS SQL.

Veritas V10 does not require a licensed copy of MS SQL Server. MS provides the Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE) that amounts to a runtime version of SQL Server (which is on it's way to being replaced by SQL Express). The MSDE is distributed without a license fee.
