Manipulating/editing .bkp files

DMOC_Admin
Not applicable

Due to the sensitivity of this issue, I cannot go too far in-depth. I essentially need to know if it is possible to go into a .bkp file and remove data. To be a little more precise, a .pst needs to be removed from the backup file, lest I have to delete two plus weeks of backed-up data.

INFO:

Server 2008 running Symantec Backup Exec 12.5

No. There is no way to remove something from a backup set. Do be aware that even if you can do this, this action is equivalent to shredding documents and have legal implications
