hi everybody
I`m working with BE2010 R3 for a long time, but for this versions weakness to support from some OS and Applications (like, WinServer2012, Redhat 6.X and MS Exchange2013 and ...) ,
I have to use BE 15,
so I download the terial verion of this application and I1m tesing it ...
But I Have a Question:
Is there any way to migrate from BE2010 to BE 15 ?
there are many MediaSets in my backup server for BE2010 that all of them are write on the Tape with this structure!
when I connect my new backupserver with BE 15 to tape library and inventory and catalogue media tapes, it looks that this version of BE (15) cant recognize the media of last version (2010) !
"Is there any way to Introduce the media written with BE2010 on BE 15 ? "
thanks alot

You must be on BE 2010 R3 SP4 before you can upgrade this to BE 15. If you are not on SP4, run LiveUpdate a couple of times to upgrade to SP4 and the latest hotfixes.
Note that BE 15 requires a 64-bit machine. If your existing media server is not 64-bit, then you need to upgrade this to 64-bit before you can upgrade to BE15
When you upgrade to BE 15, your media sets and your catalogs will be migrated to BE 15.
If you want to do a clean install of BE 15, then you can use the procedure in this document to add your existing catalogs to BE 15.

If you decide to perform an in place upgrade then make sure you grab copies of Data and Catalogs
folder just before the upgrade. These folder are located in the insallation directory of Backup Exec.
Once BE15 is installed run live update and then also update all the remote agents.
For BE15 useful links refer to the below blog.
