Migration from 10d to 11 to 12.5

While in this potentially long and arduous process will I lose the ability to restore from the 10d tapes we currently have?

For instance: Joe User decided that he has screwed up a spreadsheet, and he does not want to reverse the changes. So he comes to me asking if I can restore from a back-up. Can I restore from a back-up if I am currently running version 11d or 12.5?

I have a limited window of time to do this.

yes you can BE still uses MTF (Microsoft Tape Format) to write tapes

If you have upgraded, all of your media and catalogs should be in the correct media sets with the correct OPPs after the upgrade

If you do a clean install, you can still migrate the v10 catalog into v12 using BEMIG
