Moving Backup Exec 12.5 from one server to another.

we are moving moving Backup Exec 12.5 from one server to another. We found the tech notes -

 
IS Windows server 2008 and windows server 2008 R2 considered the same or different versions of OS. Any concernes moving from 2008 to 2008R2?

Hi

As 12.5 doesn't support win2008 r2 as Supported OS for media server ,Check with Licensing and see if you can upgrade backup exec version to BE 2010 R3 as per your support contract for free or will it be a paid upgrade

Also if you plan to upgrade backup exec from 12.5 to BE 2010 from one server to another server please check link below to do it

BE12.5 as a Media server on Win 2008 R2 is not a supported configuration.

They are different versions of OS'es.
