Hi
We have just deployed a trial of Backup Exec Private Cloud Services with 1 remote site.
So we have a CAS @ HQ and a Microserver at a client site on our domain, with a VPN between the two.
Currently the backups are only going to a local onsite dedupe folder, not replicating back to HQ.
The clientside server needs to be redeployed elsewhere...what is the easiest way to move the entire Backup Exec installation to a new machine?
I can rename the new machine the same hostname and give it the same IP as the old server if required.

Hi,
You'd need to remove that server from the CASO first using BEutility.exe, or within BE itself.
Once done, follow the TN below to move BE to another server and update accordingly on that new server:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH67768
Once this is done, you can re-add the server back to the CASO under the new name.
Thanks!

Are the jobs for that MMS delegated from CAS or are they local?

How do I tell?
All I know is the jobs can be managed from the local server or the CAS, I cant remember where they were first created.
