We are seeing intermittent backup failures when attempting a Netapp backup (ONTAP 7.3.5P5).
The job log is suggesting tape write errors, I have tried hotfix 173790 as well as a drive f/w upgrade and we've changed all our tapes.
NDMP log is below, we have other standard windows agent backups running seemingly without issues now.
Any ideas?
NDMP Log Message : DUMP : Network communication error
NDMP Log Message : DUMP : DUMP IS ABORTED
NDMP Log Message : Mover : Tape write failed
NDMP Mover Halted : Media error
Storage device "IBM Tape Drive" reported an error on a request to write data to meia.
Error reported:
The request could not be performed becuase of an I/O device error.
V-79-57344-33991 - A backup storage read/write error has occured.
