NTDS.DIT not backed up when NTDS and SYSVOL folder not located in c:\windows\system32

DominiqueF
Not applicable
I have 2 DC where NTDS and SYSVOL folders are located in D:\Windows while the system is installed on C:\WINDOWS

Full backup of the DC is ok with BE v12.5

When I try to restore on another machine, NTDS.DIT is not restored.

Try to relocate system state in another folder to check and no ntds.dit present.

Help

Sorry for my english, I am french.

Do you have Advanced Open File Option running on your remote servers? If that file is in use, it might not be getting backed up, and AOFO will clear that up.
Can you verify that it's in your selection list, that it's in your catalog of that specific tape, and that you have no errors in your daily backups indicating that the file is in use.
