Need confirmation how to archive NDMP Backups @ Backup exec 2012

QUERY regarding data archive @ Netapp filer from backup exec 2012

If customer want to archive the NDMP data  @ Netapp Filer by using backup exec 2012

Inthat case we need purchase file system archive option @ Backp exec 2012  to archive the data residing @  netapp filer

Confirm this option will help as per the request to have NDMP data need to get archived ...

To archive your NDMP backups, you just need to retain the backups whether they are on tape or disk. The file archive option is for a different purpose, I.e., to place less frequently used files in an archive so that they do not have to be backed up frequently

Ok ,Thanks for the information Could you please let me know the file archive option is only used for f/s data , exchange data & this option is not for NDMP .

Yes. You cannot use the file archive option with NDMP backups
