QuickBooks Backup

Will the Open File Agent backup QuickBooks if it is being left open out on the network on a workstation? Backup Exec currently just skips the files during the backup because it was left open.

I didn't see anything in that tech article about QuickBooks. Can anyone tell me yes or no the Open File Agent will backup an open QuickBooks file that was left open on the network?

Hi Todd,

We do exactly this ourselves, so "yes", it will. I wouldn't hold your breath for an official answer though.

Backup Exec 9.1 + Advanced Open File Option will be able to Quickbooks data.
