RDX Drives and Compression

Hi,

I am running Backup Exec 2010 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 with a RDX drive (500GB hard disk cartridges) and using backup to disk folders.  My backup job compression type is set to use "Hardware [if available, otherwise none]".  Has anyone used Software compression with RDX drives or is it recommended?

Assuming your server has sufficient resources/horsepower, software compression shuold work fine.  the RDX drives do not offer hardware compression.
