~~NEVERMIND: I was able to resolve this error by simply stopping and restarting the backup exec services. For anyone else with this issue - that should fix it. Thanks ~~
I'm trying to run a job on Symantec Exec 12.0 and I'm getting a status error stating the following:
Ready; No idle devices are available.
I checked the Windows Server 2003 hardware manager and the tape drive is detected by Windows so I don't see any issues there. I physicallly verified that the SCSI cable was connected properly to the backup server and is powered on - tapes inserted.
Should I just bounce the server and see if that fixes the issue or is there a better way that won't disrupt other users (the backup server has VM servers on it as well that other users are attached to)?
