Re-Organising/Renaming JOBS in BackUP Exec 12.5

Hello All

I am using BackUP Exec 12.5 on windows server 2K3 Enterprise ; If I delete the existing jobs to re-organise the backup timings and then point the new jobs to save on the same media would that be an effect on my existing backup collections on my external usb and tape drives.

I will only be changing names / schedule of the jobs ?

I have also asked another question on the forum which hasn't been answered so i will be grateful if someone could have a look at it as well and advise

In theory, you could just copy the job from the Job Setup tab, disable the old job, and make the changes to the new one re. name, schedule, etc.?

Deleting the old jobs wouldn't be a problem - it should only delete the job logs, not the catalogs.
