Removable drive with Backup Exec 11d

I'm having trouble getting my backup to disk working.  I have plenty of space on the drive, but when I do a test run, it states that there is no overwritable or appendable space available.  This is a new setup and a new drive.  It's never been setup before.  So in essence, I'm starting from the very beginning.

Can anyone help?

So you have created the B2D devices/Folders on the external drive

From the Devices Tab, is the device listed as started and ready?  If not, try Pausing and Unpausing it .

once the device is ready, you should  be able to run a job targeted to it.  And try a small  job, rather than just a test.

I have the device setup.  It's pointing at the E:\.  The device is enabled and ready.  I put the threshold to 200gb in order to try and get some overwriteable space freed up, but the test run still shows 0.00mb
