Hello,

When i want to restore data from a virtual machine using a scsi disk controler, on the backup excec machine (i restore on an other computer) i have the error :

V-79-57344-65072 - The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set canceled.

If i do the same thing from the same virtual machine but using its IDE disk it works good (i have 3 scsi disk and 1 ide disk on this machine).

I have installed the last hotfix

Thanks for help

Regards

Calou,

Looks like connection to remote agent was lost during the restore. Do you see any remote agent related errors/events in the event log? Is the behaviour same if you restore the data to another server? What version of BE are you running?

After restoring the error in the event log is (inside there is the version) :

Can you please elaborate on the environment a bit? Looks like you are backing up a remote VM which has data on SCSI disk controller. Is remote agent installed on this VM? If you restore data from SCSI disk of remote VM to SCSI disk on BE server, it fails. If you run the same restore from IDE disk of remote VM to IDE disk on BE server, it succeeds. Is this correct? More information about the environment will definitely help understanding the issue better.
