Restore from a Backup 2 Disk directory terminates Job Engine

Hello,

Whenever I try to run a restore from a Backup 2 Disk directory the job engine terminates. This has happened on 2 different servers now even after a fresh install of BE10. I also tried version 10.d and it did the same thing. Any ideas?

Windows Server 2000 SP4
BE 10

Thanks,
Brian

Hello,

B2d goes offline?
Try creating another b2d and take a backup and then try to restore.

Hi,

-check the RPC Locator Service is set to MANUAL and stopped ?

-Is anti-virus software running in the background while backup ?

-Downloaded and ran MDAC Component Checker and check for any MISMATCH

-Also run repair installation of BE and reran the backup
