As part of my recent upgrade to version 12.0, I am planning a test restore to make sure everything is working ok. I will be out of the office at a data center using clean servers so I want to be sure that I have everything with me that I need. I plan to take the IDR bootable CD, a CD containing the *.dr files, my latest tape backup and copies of both Windows OS and BackupExec (with licensing information). I will be restoring only two servers in my test: my domain controller and my Exchange server. The Exchange server is the actual "media server" and the server on which Backup Exec is installed. My question is regarding the order of my restore. Since Exchange is the "media server", do I need to restore it first and then restore my DC? Or, does it matter? Any gotchas that you can prepare me for would be greatly appreciated - I hate to waste a trip. Thanks!
