I am experiencing some difficulties on my Backup Server. It's Windows 2003 Standard R2 SP2 x64. I can not backup my SQL server's database. We are getting a connection issue. I can ping the SQL server. but can not access it through Backup Exec 10.

What is the version of SQL you have installed on the remote server ?
You do have the BE SQL agent installed and licensed on the BE server ?
