SQL server full+TL backup

Not applicable
I'm doing a daily full backup to tape of a big (500GB) database using BE 9.1 with SQL agent currently and planning to switch to a D2D2T backup method.
For my project I have a BackupExec 11.d server with attached SAN storage for D2D backups and SCSI attached Quantum S4 library for D2T.
I want to implement: weekly - full; daily - differential and TL - every 2 hours. A tape for offsite storage is picked up weekly.
There are quite a few ways to accomplish that, however I'm a bit confused how to implement the desired strategy the best and the simlpiest way.
For instance I can use the "native" SQL tools for TL backup and do the rest with BackupExec or do all backups with BE. I can use policies or not to use them etc.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi Igor,

To keep it simple, I would recommend running all backups through Backup Exec and to run the jobs through a policy.

Please let me know if you have any other questions, or if I did not answer your questions.

Thanks.
