Service "backup exec server" won't start

Hello,

Last weekend our server have been crashed. After restarting the server we have problems with the backup. When we try to start the service "backup exec server" it won't start anymore. The service keeps in the "starting" state. I don't know how to see what's wrong. Can I check a log file or can I execute the proces from the command line so I see an error message.

Any ideas what's wrong and how to solve it?

I am seeing the same problem.  Did you find a resolution?

Check the application event logs

And according to event logs we can try to proceed

-OR you can go to C:\prog files\symantec\backup exec\
Open file beutility.exe>>all media server>>right click on server name
Select repair databse
-It it dosent word try beutility.exe>>all media server>>right click on server name>>recover database
choose : Drop existing database and reload from backup.( By default backup exec performa a backup of its own setting every morning at 4 am , if you reload from backup you go back to old settings)
