Since upgrade to 11d we get error '0xe0009418 -Access to a device was not..

..authorized with this edition of Backup Exec

I see from searching the forum that we need to purchase the SQL agent however we were previously using backup exec 10 without an SQL agent and could back up all MSDE databases 100% successfully.

Can someone advise why this has changed? It even fails on our domain controllers.

Run an SQL backup prior to the backup exec backup, take the sql directories off the selection list and just backup the SQL backup files.
