Sony AIT3 NT4 Veritas 9.1 Not recognising Drive

Hi,
I just installed a sony AIT3 scsi into our LH3 Netserver alongside a HP DDS4 drive. Windows backup can see and use both drives. However, Veritas can only see the HP. I have tried both windows and Veritas drivers, same problem. We're on SP6, anyone got any ideas ?

Have you checked the HCL for compatibility ?

You might want to refer to this technote.

After replacing or upgrading a Robotic Library or related hardware component, Backup Exec is unable to use the hardware device for backup and restore operations.

You should do this only if you have replaced an old device.

Hi,

I updated the Symbios (Now LSI) scsi card driver on NT4, then used Veritas' driver for the sony and hey presto, up she popped. Thanks anyhow
