Sony Disk issue - please help

After upgrading a customer's Veritas V.10 to SP1 and installing appropriate hotfixes, After a reboot the Sony drive is reported offline. It is on the HCL. If I pause and unpause it comes back online, but jobs still report no media server availale. I see other people have had this issue.
