Symantec backup Agent

Good afternoon. Updated on a Windows 2003 server the Symantec backup agent to version 12.5 rev. 2213.158. But can't work out whether you have the latest version of the agent installed at the moment?

I doubt 12.5 rev 2213.158 is the latest version. I would suggest you try the below steps.

On the Backup Exec media server run Live Update and install the latest service pack (SP4).

After installing service pack again run live update to install latest hotfixes.

Once all the patches are installed push install/update remote agent.

I did this on one of the servers. And he updated me to the version of 12.5 Rev 2213.158. But I doubt that this is the latest version at the moment.

If you have installed SP4 then the remote agent version will be 12.5.2213.175

I would suggest you to check the beremote.exe version on the media server
