Symentec v12 GRT questions

I have a tape that contains Exchange SBS 2003 backup. The full store (First Storage Group) backup contains no data, but mailbox backup does contain data. I want to restore one mailbox from the tape. But orginal SBS 2003 server is gone, and we are using Exchange 2010 now. I setup a temporary Exchange SBS 2003 for this project.

My question is: can I restore single mailbox from tape to temporary SBS 2003 store without First Storage Group? I tried to restore the mailbox, but Backup Exec v12 return Error Write Data error message, and there is nothing in the SBS 2003 store.

On the temporary SBS 2003 server you need to have the First Storage Group created. Also try to create a mailbox for that same account and then you can restore the mailbox to the new mailbox on temporary SBS 2003.

Try to keep the name of the server same. If you have changed the name of the server then use the Microsoft Exchange Redirection option from Restore job properties.
