Hi,

This is the error I've been having and I can't seem to fix it "The job failed with the following error: Access is denied". And this is what I got in the job log file:
Backup- \\EXCHANGE\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group
Unable to complete the operation for the selected resource using the specified options. The followi...

Job ended: Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 1:35:34 AM
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe0008488 - Access is denied.
Final error category: Security Errors

Base on this Error message, does it mean that I have to turn off the compress file option in order for it to work correctly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch guys.

Hello,

We are facing some credential issues:

For exchange backups and restores we require following rights for the Backup Exec Service Account.
1  : Unique name (first 5 letters)
2  : Mailbox Enabled account
3  : Not hidden from the Global Address list
4  : Send as Receive as permissions
5  : Exchange Full Admin
6  : Domain Admin and Local Admin for Exchange if Exchange is not a Domain Controller.

You need to disable compression on the Exchange job.
